SkyActiv-G engines (CX-5, Mazda3, CX-30, CX-9) are tight-tolerance and intolerant of off-spec oil. We use 0W-20 full synthetic and a genuine Mazda filter. Turbo SkyActiv (CX-9, CX-50 turbo) gets a slightly stricter interval — 5k miles, not 7,500.
