Cayenne and Panamera plastic coolant pipes are a known failure point. When they fail, they dump coolant under the intake manifold within seconds — and you may not see it on the ground until the engine has already overheated. We upgrade to aluminum coolant pipes whenever we have the intake off.
Every Porsche cooling job is bled on PIWIS using the active bleeding routine. Without it, air pockets remain at the back of the head and the thermostat housing — and the next overheat is a question of when, not if.
Common Porsche issues we see
- Cayenne V8 plastic coolant pipe rupture (upgrade to aluminum)
- Water pump impeller failure on 9A1 / MA1 engines
