Customer towed in with the engine in limp mode and a coolant warning. The electric water pump had failed — a known issue on N55 engines after 80k miles. We replaced the pump and thermostat as a kit and pressure-tested the system before delivery.

Customer complained of misfires and rough idle that came and went. Intake valves were caked with carbon — a classic problem on direct-injection TFSI engines. We walnut-blasted the valves and the engine runs like new.

Sweet coolant smell and a slow drop in coolant level — classic 2.5L EJ head gasket failure. We resurfaced the heads, replaced both head gaskets with multi-layer steel, and refreshed the timing belt and water pump in the same job.

Caught a tiny coolant weep during a routine inspection. The 2GR-FE V6 water pump is a known slow-leaker. Replaced preventively before it failed on the highway, saved the customer a tow and a much bigger repair.
